For some time, Spinout Nuggets have wanted to release 2017’s ‘Oil And Colour Man’ (from ‘A Clip Round The Ear’ album) on a 7″, and it’s perfect timing now to pair it up with ‘Saturday Afternoon’ (first time on vinyl) from 2021’s ‘Searching For The Grown-Ups’ album. ‘Oil And Colour Man’ was recorded at Ranscombe Studios in 2017 and was included on the 6th Groovy Uncle album, ‘A Clip Round The Ear’, released later the same year. Special thanks to James Worse for the wonderfully bonkers narration. Produced by Jim Riley. ‘Saturday Afternoon’ was recorded by Glenn Prangnell at home during Lockdown in 2021, and was included on the 9th Groovy Uncle album, ‘Searching For The Grown-Ups’, released later the same year. Tom Morley recorded the trumpet parts remotely, which were added later.
